Today's Sunday Stamps theme is the letter 'F'.
I found some good old writing tools. The feathers might be hardly used anymore nowadays, in contrary to fountain pens, who have a lot of new fans.

Heleen received more postcards than the 'postcrossing wall' was able to carry. Also she received - and sent - postcards besides postcrossing cards. Where to collect them? Well, here, of course! Heleen ontving méér kaarten dan op de 'postcrossing wall' pasten. Ook ontving en stuurde zij kaarten buiten postcrossing om. Maar waar moesten die kaarten nu verzameld worden? Nou, hier, natuurlijk.

What a great idea for F and for a mini-collection related to writing :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI was saved, er, helped by the coincidental fact that one feather and two fountain pens arrived into my mailbox recently! (First I thought of posting Flags, but writing tools of course steal my heart, as it might do with other stamp lovers, too :-) )
VerwijderenSure is a favourite theme of mine! I hardly use fountain pens nowadays, though. And I have never used a feather.
VerwijderenI've just resurrected my fountain pens and am delighted to be using them again. I tried a feather a couple of times but without success.
Verwijderenbeing left handed wasn't helpful in writing with a fountain pen! but I'm glad to see that they are making a comeback.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA left handed friend of mine loves fountain pens and always puts the paper across, thus writing from top to bottom :-)
VerwijderenWhile resurrecting my pens I noticed in a stationery / book shop (W H Smith's) that they now have left-handed fountain pens and calligraphy pens.
VerwijderenI like the last stamp, what could be better than a selection of pens and pencils.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI've always regretted the disappearance of fountain pens - I can't remember when I last used one. Pencils I still have hundreds!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think there is a revival of the fountain pen, Bob, so no worry! I've seen even groups of fountain pen fans at mail lovers' sites, many young (in their 20ies, 30ies) people !
