In: from Morocco

This building is the former railway station of Tétouan, Morocco.
Nowadays there aren't any trains anymore in Tétouan. In 2012 the building has been restored and since then it is the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Sent (and written, thanks to Eva I know about the above mentioned :-) ) by Eva from Tétouan.

Update:
Also from Morocco, a few weeks later I received this postcard, showing the railway station of the city of Nador, in the north of Morocco.
The railway station is rather young: it was opened only seven years ago, in July 2009.

Thank you very much, moltes gràcies, Eva!

In: from the United Kingdom

One day before World Post Day I received this very special train from John. He writes that in the London Underground there's a second set of tunnels used exclusively by the Post Office for sending mail between sorting offices.
This is Mount Pleasant station. The railway runs from Paddington to Whitechapel, connecting six sorting offices and two main railway stations.

En iedere keer verrast John me weer met prachtige postzegels. Hier een heel toepasselijke: de ondertunneling van de Londense straten.

And every time John surprises me with beautiful stamps. Here a very suitable one: showing the tunneling below London streets.
Thank you very much, John!

In: from the United Kingdom

Sent by John *Scriptor* from the United Kingdom, these beautiful postcards showing two of my favourite themes: lighthouses and public transport.

I love to watch this postcard of a lighthouse within the elements. Look at the clouds, watch that sea! And even a piece of rainbow is visible.
This lighthouse is the Fort Perch Rock lighthouse, off New Brighton close to Liverpool.

In Liverpool trams used to be green. Also Leeds had trams, of which you see this 'Horsefield' car (built in 1931). Sadly this tramway was closed in the late fifties.

I always feel so happy by the backsides of the postcards John is sending. Especially his kind and informative messages, and the postage stamps who are chosen with thoughfulness.
These two postcards arrived in a plastic, easy-to-open cover, with a polite request to the Post Office. The result, however, was not a hand-cancelling of the stamps (alas, as I like cancellation stamps), but even stampless stamps! (I always like to keep the postcards complete, nevertheless, John: in case your stamps have finished and you want me to soak off these stamps, I will do so to send them back so you can re-use them :-)

Another favourite: animals (butterfly, in this stamp) and mail transport!
Thank you very much, John!

Sunday stamps: Public Transport

I just added my belated contribution to last week's Sunday stamps, # 163: Farm animals, showing Dutch cow stamps.

Hopefully I'm not too late for this Sunday's Sunday Stamps # 164, themed 'Buses and Public Transportation', as I like a lot to travel by bus, train and tram and 'thus' love to see - and share - stamps showing public transport.

Here are some train (respectively train station) stamps which I received by postcrossing:

From Finland:

From Brazil:

From Taiwan:

From Ukraine:

From Latvia:

And one I've sent out some time ago, from the Netherlands:

By the way, the last shown I've sent to Ravindra in Sri Lanka. He is collecting postcards showing trains. And besides train postcards, he receives a lot of train stamps, too. You can enjoy marvellous stamps on his blog 'Discover the World on Trains'.

In: from Portugal

Dankjewel, Eva!

I'm happy to receive another airport postcard! This one is located close to Ponta Delgada, the capital of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, on the island São Miguel. I also like the postage stamps a lot, they show two other favourite subjects: public transport and cartoons/illustrations. Thank you very much, moltes gràcies, Eva!
