Heleen received more postcards than the 'postcrossing wall' was able to carry. Also she received - and sent - postcards besides postcrossing cards. Where to collect them? Well, here, of course! Heleen ontving méér kaarten dan op de 'postcrossing wall' pasten. Ook ontving en stuurde zij kaarten buiten postcrossing om. Maar waar moesten die kaarten nu verzameld worden? Nou, hier, natuurlijk.

In: from the United Kingdom
John sent me this interesting card of a bridge. Not just a common bridge (although this type of bridge can be found all over England), but a Pack Horse Bridge.
On his weblog posting of yesterday, you can see some more bridges from the UK.
He also made me happy by sticking beautiful stamps on the postcard, showing the Noble Chafer (funny that the word 'chafer' sounds a little like the Dutch word for beetle: 'kever') and the Stag Beetle.
Thank you very much, John!

I'd never heard of "Pack Horse bridges", but now I've realised that I've seen some of them... Bridges are a beloved theme for snail mail.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe stamps are wonderful (as usual, in the stamps chosen by John).
